Our client is currently seeking Tracking and Traceability Technicians in the Greater Philadelphia Area. This position will work closely with utility construction crews to capture detailed information about the type and location of facilities installed underground.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (will include, but may not be limited to: )
Visit job sites to track and trace required assets.
Use modern equipment (GPS Antenna, Android Tablet, Bar Code Scanner, and the GPS Receiver) and techniques to properly locate, capture and map installed gas facilities.
Manage data and transmit to the Client in accordance with their, and/or Utility Customers Procedures.
Responds daily to SQ, Client, and Utility text, e-mail, telephone, and in-person requests.
Report to the Client’s Office, Job Site or their Utility Customer’s Office, as required.
Use appropriate tools for tracing and tracking, as required that are acceptable to the client, and their utility customer.
Make use of approved tools for tracing and tracking; including tape measures, measurement wheel, etc., as required.
Transmit results and supporting documentation to Utility and Client, as required.
Resolve discrepancies, and update the Utility and Client accordingly.
Have a minimum of six (6) months construction related experience.
Proficient in basic laptop Computer, E-Mail, MS Excel and MS Word software programs as well as Android tablet functions.
Able to enter and exit trenches to record exact location and type of facility installed.
Previous utility and/or excavation experience is desirable.
Maintain a valid state driver’s license.
Own reliable transportation, and maintain current vehicle inspection, registration and insurance coverage, in the performance of this work.
Compliance with the clients and their utility customers "Fitness for Duty" requirements.
Completion of appropriate training to perform assigned duties.
